On 14 May 2016, during an IPL match between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Gujarat Lions in Bengaluru, Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers made an IPL record for highest partnership in IPL. Both players scored centuries, which helped their team win the match.

2. Ab de Villiers & Virat Kohli

The second spot for the highest partnership in IPL history also goes to RCB’s Ab de Villiers and Virat Kohli. The duo scored a partnership of 215 runs in 2015, and both of them stayed on the crease until the end.

3. KL Rahul & Quinton de Kock

In an IPL match in 2022, KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock achieved the highest first wicket partnership in IPL. The game was played between Lucknow Super Giants and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at DY Patil Stadium. 

4. Shaun Marsh & Adam Gilchrist

The Australian duo Shaun Marsh & Adam Gilchrist forged the 4th highest partnership in IPL of 206 runs for the 2nd wicket on May 17, 2011. They were playing for Kings XI Punjab against Royal Challengers Bangalore.

6. David Warner & Naman Ojha

The 6th highest partnership in ipl history came from David Warner & Naman Ojha, who were batting for Delhi Daredevils. They scored 189* runs together for the 2nd wicket on 10 May 2012. The opposing team was Deccan Chargers Hyderabad, and they lost the match by 9 wickets, even with Shikhar Dhawan scoring 84 runs off 49 balls.

7. David Warner & Jonny Bairstow

Batsman David Warner is again on the list of top 10 highest partnership in IPL. This time, he shares the record with England player Jonny Bairstow. The duo scored 185 runs for Sunrisers Hyderabad against RCB on 31 March 2019. They batted for the 1st wicket and Warned remained not out at 100.

8. Chris Lynn & Gautam Gambhir

During a match on 7 April 2017, Chris Lynn and Gautam Gambhir formed a powerful partnership of 184* runs for the 1st wicket. Both batsmen stayed not out until the end of the match, leading their team to a 10-wicket win and made the highest partnership in ipl without any wicket. 

9. KL Rahul & Mayank Agarwal

10. Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway

In May 2022, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway teamed up for an impressive partnership of 182 runs for the 1st wicket. They scored the 10th highest partnership in IPL for Chennai Super Kings in a match against Sunrisers Hyderabad played at Pune. Unfortunately, Gaikwad fell short of a century by 1 run as he got out, making 99 runs.
